My Name is Gwendolyn Harvey, born August of 1984 raised in Chicago Illinois along with eight other siblings. As a child, I developed a skin condition called eczema which made it very difficult to find anything that soothed my skin. My family and my community supported me thru those difficult times. Inspired by their support, I developed a passion of my own, mentoring children with similar conditions thru sports and organizations.

At the Age of 16, I began my career working for different youth community programs which blossomed a special passion of mine. Seven years ago I was diagnosed with endometriosis and it change the course of my life. After dealing with this illness for some time it became unbearable. I was no longer able to continue my career that I loved so much. I became physically unable to take care of myself. After multiple surgeries, client visits, rehabilitations still in constant pain, I found myself slipping in the state of depression.

My husband seen the dark hole I was in and began to find activities and projects that could possibly encourage me while in bed. After many projects, I just wasn’t interested.So we took a different route. We begin to research the benefits of the nut from the “Karite tree also Known as shea butter” and How it boosts skin moisture and how it’s anti-inflammatory properties soothes skin problems. I first began to make small batches for myself and close friends. Slowly perfecting my craft, I discovered that it also heals minor cuts and scrapes while even preventing breakouts. Adding fragrances and many types of essential oils, I’ve finally found a product that works………We found whipped Shea butter!!!

To all those that just want their skin to feel, smell and look good, we whipped up a product that do just that. It really brings me joy to share a wonderful product with a purpose; Giving me a sense of purpose.
